Our very own Sunny Dolat had a wonderful and insightful conversation with fashion historian Amber Butchart for her podcast series 3 of Cloth Cultures! The series focuses on the themes of this year’s British Textile Biennial, and brings in artists and curators who will be exhibiting in the Biennial and experts from the fashion and clothing industry together to discuss the themes that arise from the different pieces, and the complex, political histories of textiles.

We are thrilled to present “Stories of Our Lives: In Search of Queer Sanctuaries” at the National Museum of Contemporary Art (EMΣΤ) in Athens, Greece, which will be opening on Friday 29th September 2023! Curated by Ioli Tzanetaki, this archive installation comprises photographs, illustrations, soundscapes (we’re thrilled to feature among these, a prayer for queer Africans by multi-disciplinary artists Adeola Aderemi, who also shared a podcast on ancestral veneration for our Queer Joy project!) and transcribed excerpts from countless intimate conversations.

Return To Sender At The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC)!

We are thrilled to announce the unveiling of our art installation, Return to Sender, curated by Katerina Gregou, at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) in collaboration with the National Museum of Contemporary Art (EMST). Originally developed for Documenta 15 in 2022, this project is a poignant commentary on the environmental impact of second-hand clothing waste in Africa.
