Open Restitution Africa Launch - Webinar with Dr. Njoki Ngumi

Open Restitution Webinar Invitation card.png

Our very own Dr. Njoki Ngumi will be participating in the launch of the Open Restitution Africa Project! She’ll be taking part in their first webinar, discussing: the ways we can get involved in restitution as a community; our participation in the International Inventories Programme as the Nest Collective; and museum values and processes, from an outsider’s point of view.

Open Restitution Africa is a project led by two incredible people, Chao Tayiana and Molemo Moiloa, collaborating through their organisations, African Digital Heritage and Andani Africa respectively. The project seeks to broaden access to information on return of African artefacts, objects and archives, make related conversations and events accessible to Africans, and invite full, multidimensional participation from everyone concerned, especially Africans. We’re thrilled to be able to have this conversation with them, and explore the many synergies in the work we are all doing in this area!

Join Njoki and the Open Restitution Africa team on Wednesday 26th August 2020 from 6PM (EAT), for this dynamic, evolving discussion! Register for the webinar here.
