Open Restitution Featuring Dr. Njoki Ngumi: Webinar Link Up Now

Our very own Dr. Njoki Ngumi had an insightful, evolving conversation with the Open Restitution team for the launch of the Open Restitution Africa Project on their YouTube live webinar, where they dove in deep into the practicalities of restitution. Njoki speaks on the lessons we as the collective in the International Inventories Project (IIP) have learnt which include the scales of colonial plunder that we need to recognize as a people and as a continent when we talk about restitution and return of our cultural objects, and the moving of conversations beyond the museums to ensure dynamic dialogues around colonisation, imperialism and restitution.
